Hello!  My name is Becky Malaski and I teach 7th & 8th grade science at Laingsburg Middle School.  I also lead the Science Olympiad and Aspiring Teachers flex classes.  I am very passionate about science, learning, and working with young adolescents.  My goal is to create a safe, engaging, fun and innovative learning environment for all of my students.

I completed my undergraduate and graduate studies at Central Michigan University.  My degrees include:

• B.S. in Elementary Education, major in Science, minors in Math and Middle Level Education
• B.S. in Earth Science
• M.A. in Middle Level Education

My teaching career began at a small charter school in Dearborn, MI where I spent one year teaching eighth grade math, science and social studies.  I then moved to St. Johns Public Schools where I spent 5 years teaching middle school science and 5 years teaching kindergarten.  

Outside of school, I love spending time with my husband, two young kiddos and our dog.  We enjoy traveling to visit family, spending time outdoors, swimming, playing music, sledding, and having tons of fun together!
